My April to-do list

My April to-do list | Joseph BurrowsHey there, April!

It feels like spring is finally starting to arrive, my blog is feeling all shiny and fresh, and I’m feeling a bit more enthusiastic about life than I have done for a while now. It’s amazing what a bit of sun and some double-digit temperatures can do for your mood, am I right?

I’ve got a few jobs to tackle this year, but I’m pretty useless at actually keeping track of things and getting them done because that’s just who I am as a person. With that in mind, I thought I’d try something a bit different and share this month’s to-do list, in a bit of an attempt to make me accountable for everything. Like, if it exists on the internet, then surely I have to do it?

  1. Write a to-do list
If you don’t cheat on your to-do list by adding this point then you aren’t doing it right.
  2. Change the clocks in the house
I have no idea what time it is anymore and I can’t handle the confusion. Obviously I’m not touching the digital clock on the oven, though because that’s just not worth it.
  3. Spring clean the flat
Now that I am a real adult with a flat I must do real adult things like spring cleaning. Secretly very excited for this.
  4. Clean out our spare room and take all of the empty boxes we’ve been hoarding since moving day to the tip
Our spare room has been a literal box room for 4 months now and in April I’ve FINALLY time to get rid of all the rubbish and clear it out. It’s basically going to be the most therapeutic thing I’ve done in years.
  5. Buy the first new thing for our spare room/office
A new empty room means I’ve got to start buying crap to fill it, right?
  6. Survive going to work after having a week off
RIP me. A possible 6 day working week after not setting foot in the office after 10 days is going to kill me.
  7. Send out a couple of exciting pitches
Imagine that little smirky emoji and that’s basically the face I’m making as I right this. If the pitches don’t amount to anything then I’ll probs be the little crying face.
  8. Write at least 10 blog posts for the month
God dammit I will blog this month. 10 posts seems pretty fair, considering I’ve got a list of around 60 ideas to play with at the moment. I’m just lazy tbh.
  9. Complete a couple of games
I’ve got like 4 huge games on the go at the moment and I desperately need to actually finish some of them. At this point I think these are actually my biggest obstruction to blogging because I’d much rather get lost in a game then spend a few hours sat on my laptop? Plus, if I finish games that means I can buy new ones…
  10. Start buying more plants for the flat
We’ve wanted some plants for the flat since first moving in, and now spring is here it’s definitely the time to do it. We want a big fern, a cheese plant, hanging ivy and all sorts of stuff, so it’s about time we get started on turning the place into a jungle!

So that’s my April to-do list. Do you have any big plans or jobs to tackle this month? Let me know in the comments below!
