Dreaming of a Monochrome Christmas

Dreaming of a Monochrome Christmas | Northern BloodI mentioned in my Christmas traditions post the other week that I go out with the family on Christmas Eve for a nice meal, which is of course accompanied by a couple of visits to some nice bars! With it being a proper family occasion, it’s always nice to make more of an effort. That’s why I’ve thrown together my outfit for Christmas Eve, so I thought I’d share it all with you on my blog – it’s a Blogmas and fashion post all rolled into one!

I played around with a few ideas for this. I wouldn’t usually pre plan an outfit but I thought this was the perfect opportunity to add another fashion post to the blog. So I threw on my outfit the other day and had Rhianna grab a few snaps for me. Blogger girlfriend perks!

I wanted to go for something smart, but still comfortable, since I’ll no doubt be stuffing my face and probably drinking that little bit too much. That’s why I’ve kept my shirt untucked – it keeps the outfit looking a bit more casual. You won’t find any bursts of colour here either. I like to keep my wardrobe quite simple and interchangeable, so I’ve gone with my staple favourites of grey, black and white.

Jumper – ASOS
Shirt – ASOS
Jeans – ASOS
Shoes – Fly London
Coat – Brave Soul (Similar)

I really like the coloured buttons on my shirt, I think they add that little extra touch and keep the colour scheme running throughout. I also really love this parka; I’ve had it for a while now and it makes the perfect winter coat – it literally goes with everything.

What are you doing this Christmas Eve? What do you think of my outfit? Let me know in the comments!
